Welcome to my page about advanced audio technology, by High-Fidelity audio connoisseur, engineer & researcher Viktor Gunnarsson.
Here I write about my personal research, professional audio R&D projects, as well as DIY projects. Starting out with DIY speaker building in elementary school, I ended up studying electrical engineering and taking a masters in acoustics at Chalmers University in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I grew up. Since 2010 I’ve been with Dirac Research in Uppsala, Sweden, where I’ve been working on core signal processing algorithms for speaker and headphone optimization. Both with a focus on mass market consumer electronics and more visionary industrial projects to explore what is possible. In 2024 I received my PhD degree in signal processing for spatial audio reproduction from Uppsala University.
